“Stylistic Music Skills with Tia Mae” is designed for music therapy students, interns, and professionals to support functional music skills. The course provides both basic and advanced instruction of stylistic music skills on piano and guitar and brief genre history lessons to improve application.

In this self-study course, you will receive:

Course Overview
This course is organized in three units, with multiple lessons listed by genre in each unit, and basic and advanced skills in instructional lessons. Each instructional lesson includes written and video material, and sometimes supplemental materials.
Meet Tia Mae
Tia Mae Frostrom is a former intern with MusicWorx Inc. in San Diego, CA. She is graduating with her B.A. in music therapy at Montclair State University, NJ, in May 2022. She has a variety of experience including adult medical, behavioral/mental health, neurodevelopmental, geriatrics, and more. She is passionate about supporting other music therapists’ music skills and is equipped to create this course with 8-14 years of experience playing piano, guitar, and voice and 4 years of music teaching experience. She is excited to continue developing her skills in professional practice.
