Making self-care a priority in our daily lives is easier said than done. This workshop will review research by music therapists on burn-out as well as ways to prevent and reduce its negative effects through self-care. Participants will explore a variety of self-care strategies and choose one to integrate into their daily lives.
Jennifer Hicks (she/her/hers) is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC), a licensed music educator, an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT), and the owner of Joyful Noises LLC, where her mission is to utilize music therapy and mindfulness principles to inspire and empower others to experience and create joy in their lives.
